Today’s episode was recorded at the meetup we host in Cincinnati every month (bestevercincy.com). Gaston has attended the meetup for years, and we have personally watched his growth as a real estate investor through the years. He’s scaled up to 240 units over the past few years, with no syndications or funds, all of the units are his own, acquired through traditional financing. One huge difference between Gaston’s business and most others that you’ve heard of, he buys bad properties (until he turns them around) in bad areas, which goes against the traditional advice you usually hear to “buy the worst property in the best neighborhood. We’ll hear his story of getting to the level he’s at today, and how he plans on continuing the growth. If you enjoyed today’s episode remember to subscribe in iTunes and leave us a review!

Apartment syndications are very complicated as many Best Ever listeners know. Many times, investors are in the real estate space for many years before they think about trying to do their own syndication deal. Mo wasn’t afraid of taking the leap, going from a duplex to a 21 unit in a short amount of time. He also worked hard to find great partners with strengths that differed from his own. Wouldn’t $10k per month of passive income be nice? Anton currently has that with his portfolio, and he only has to spend one hour each week to manage. He also has another career, so his real estate investments are not his main focus, which makes the passive nature of his investments ideal for him. Joe digs into Anton’s portfolio and story, extracting the lessons for us to learn from. If you enjoyed today’s episode remember to subscribe in iTunes and leave us a review!

“I don’t want to list your home” - that’s the phrase that started everything for Dan years ago. As a new agent, Dan had to find a way to get some business from all of the FSBO’s in his area. Rather than door knocking and asking to list their home, he’d simply ask if he could take some buyers through the home, and help with the paperwork if they had a buyer.
